Mark J. Condon, March 25, 1949 – March 23, 2016

Our former colleague, Mark Condon, ended his lengthy battle with cancer and passed from this life to the next on March 23, 2016.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Janet, daughters Kelly and Katie, his grandchildren, and other family members and his many friends and colleagues.  

Mark spent over 36 years with our law firm before charting a new professional course with the Iverson, Reuvers & Condon firm in Bloomington.  He was a highly skilled and successful trial attorney, but a better professional colleague and friend.  We will miss him.

Mark was a skilled sailor and spent many hours sailing with his family.  He sailed his Hobie Cat at his family's cabin on French Lake and other Midwestern lakes. In later years he enjoyed a beautiful sailboat anchored in Bayfield, WI, on the shores of Lake Superior.  And from where he sits now, perhaps he is enjoying a cold beverage, and echoing Tennyson's verse:

“Sunset and evening star,

And one clear call for me!

And may there be no moaning of the bar,

When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep,

Too full for sound and foam,

When that which drew from out the boundless deep

Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell,

And after that the dark!

And may there be no sadness of farewell,

When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place

The flood may bear me far,

I hope to see my Pilot face to face

When I have cross'd the bar.
