O'Meara Wagner, P.A. Celebrates Longtime Employees

Last week we celebrated the 45th work anniversary of Sherrie Hunt, who began working for our firm in March 1980. In her four-and-a-half decades with the firm, Sherrie has served our attorneys and clients as a highly professional, skilled, and effective paralegal. She has expertly mentored dozens of attorneys and staff, planned many social events, and served as a main artery to the heart of our firm.
To put it in perspective, when Sherrie started with us as a mere infant, President Jimmy Carter was gearing up his ultimatley unsuccessful bid for a second term, the U.S. was still basking in the glow of the "Miracle on Ice", the US inflation rate peaked at 14.8%, and the rate for a 30 year mortgage was just under 14%. In 1980, law offices operated on coffee, shelves of hard bound reporters and treatsies and reams of paper. Use of desktop computers was more than a decade away, while the internet and cell phones lay even further on the horizon. The Minnesota North Stars played hockey in Bloomington at Metropolitan Sports Center and the Twins played less than a quarter mile away at a home they shared with the Vikings, Metropolitan Stadium.
Our firm has many stories like Sherrie's. We are blessed to have attorneys and staff that have chosen to build careers here that have lasted decades. This year we will celebrate work milestones of other employees -
*3 employees (not including Sherrie) with the firm for 35+ years
*2 employees with the firm for at least 30 years
*5 employees with the firm for 25+ years
*4 employees with the firm for over 20 years and
*8 more employees with the firm for at least a decade
This year O'Meara Wagner will celebrate 52 years of building relationships with our clients based on reliability and results delivered by people like Sherrie and others.
