O’Meara, Leer, Wagner & Kohl Celebrates Seventh Year of Groundbreaking Document Imaging Project

Our law firm celebrates the seventh year of a great partnership highlighting a workforce of people with developmental disabilities.  Working together with Ally People Solutions, a non-profit in St. Paul, people with developmental disabilities have converted over nine Million documents from our law firm to electronically stored images. It has been a great partnership, and a good business decision, saving considerable storage costs to give us an easily accessible electronic system for our  information.  These individuals prepare and collate the paper files, scan them to a searchable electronic format, and shred and recycle the paper.  This workforce performs excellent work at  very competitive prices, including copying and imaging, bates stamping, searching/OCR and other software support, rush projects, specialized sizing, on and off site projects, and many other services provided by commercial competitors.  Ally is also a State approved vendor for document management services and led the development of the State's records retention policy.

We are the first Minnesota law firm, and one of the first law firms in the country, to engage this innovative employment project.  It has now made its way into many  areas, including  banks and financial institutions, medical providers, insurers, schools and universities, construction companies, and many other businesses and government agencies, demonstrating that people with developmental disabilities can be a productive and meaningful part of our nation's workforce.

We are very proud of our partnership with Ally on this important project, and the dedicated workforce of uniquely qualified people who have made such a positive difference in so many extraordinary ways.
